When my daugher was having little tummy aches, I tried making a tube sock full of rice to heat in the microwave. My little princess took one look at that ugly sock and wouldn’t let it anywhere near her body. So we got this, much pricier option. She loves it. She named it “Helpful Bear” and asks for it when she has a tummy ache. It helps her. (I suspect the tummy ache would go away on its own but it’s so nice to be able to DO something.)
The first time we heated the bear, the lavender fragrance was quite strong but it has abated somewhat. The buckwheat-lavender satchel can be removed from the bear but you don’t have to: you can put the whole bear in the microwave. Finally, a note on the material: I have no idea why the description says “cashmere-like.” It’s more like a high-quality fleece. In sum, this is an expensive but very nice product.

This bear was made cheap. The fabric was soo thin it had small holes. The inner lining was sewn so bad that the filling was leaking out & it too had holes. If this was not a Easter gift for our 9 yr old daughter it would have been sent back, but she had wanted it & there was no time to get another. She doesn’t mind how it’s made, but she didn’t spend 32 bucks on it. So not what we expected!
