No, just a good diet of low fat, lots of protein, green leafy veggies, and fruit, dairy. Avoid fast foods, fried foods, grease.

Anything with a lot of arginine in it. You generally have to take 6 to 18 grams of it a day, but you need to work your way up to that amount as it can cause diarrhea. There is a product made by a company called Life Enhancement called Inner Power. It contains all the co-factors necessary for it to be abosorbed. Arginine is very helpful for tissue repair, and also helps promote healing.

I can only speak for Shaklee natural products from personal experience.

Shaklee Zinc is a great product for promoting healing of wounds & burns.

Shaklee Nutriferon is a patented, clinically proven blend of immune-strengthening plant extracts. Taken daily, Nutriferon strengthens immune response by boosting the body’s natural interferon.

    Key Ingredients:

Patented blend of interferon-boosting plant extracts (500 mg) is an exclusive, proprietary blend of natural plant extracts from pumpkin seeds, safflower flowers, plantago seeds, and Japanese honeysuckle flower buds which have been clinically proven to support and stimulate the natural immune response process at the cellular level.

Yes there are things you can do to help promote faster healing time. i.e. My daughter and a nephew both broke a bone 2 years ago. My daughters was in the foot and my nephews was his arm.

The nephew had a compound fracture and it was quite ugly looking to say the least. Long stry very short the normal healing time for both of these bones was 6 to 8 weeks. This is what we where told. Bothof them had completely healed in 3 weeks time and the dr.’s where astounded. For that matter I was shocked myself.

We all know that the body heals itself correct. Every time you have cut your finger it somehow heals. What has not known until about 12 years ago was how that procces happened. How did you finger know it was cut? How did your blood know to clot and your skin know to grow back and to stop growing once it got back together?

Dr. Gunter Blobel discoverd the procces of celular comminucation back in 1994 and recieved the Noble Prize for that discoverery in 1996. I believe those are the correct years.

If you increase the abaility for cellular comminucation you increase the speed in which you can heal. As well as greatly improved immune response You also need all the correct building blocks. Cell food, cell protection and binding agents (hormones) You can just build a house with just bricks. You need lumber and mortar and the like.

You also need them in ample supply, the more building materials you have the faster and more complete you can build your house.
This is called the Macalis Mitten Therory.
You are no differnent just more complex.

I would suggest a glyconutrient and a phyonutrient complex.

Ambrotose is complex of nutrients in a class unlike any other. This complex was made after the discovery of Dr. Gunter Blobel When you add these nutrients into the body you are much more able too defend rebuild and restore your tissues. These are responcible celllular communication amoung a few other things.

Phyonutrients, available in a product called Phyt-Aloe, are important in cellular defense as well and a good plant based vitamin/mineral suppliment. These are cellular food and are used as such by the newly growing cells.

There is also a prduct called Sport that great for healing muscle tissue. It is used primarily after a work out routine and helps prevent soreness and well as promoting muscle growth. I understand it is a benefical for recovery after a surgery.

I would be happy to chat with you about glyconutrients and phytonutrients if you wish.

What I have told you is supported by science. Totally and completly.

If you are just looking for a quick help and not interested in total wellness then I suggest you try the oldest of treatments.
Cut a piece of aloe leaf and apply the innner leaf gell to the wound. You can only use fresh aloe as the glyconutrient Mannose (1of 8 glyconutrients) will be chopped up by the enzymes in the leaf after it has been cut from the plant. As discovered in Los Alamos Labortories in 1953 researching gamma radiation burns on rabbits.

    Try it, it works.

You don’t have to believe in this for it to work, trust me, your body “knows” better than you or I or your doctor. But please, don’t stop going to your doctor because of this.

    Try this:

Place your hands where the surgery was performed. If you cannot reach there comfortably, either have someone else do it or imagine your hands being there. Using your imagination (like I said, you don’t have to believe, you can simply make it up with your imagination), visualize compassion and good will flowing from your hands into your body with the idea of healing you faster and more completely. Do this as often as you like, try 1-3x a day and see what happens. You can do this in addition to whatever else you are doing to recover from your surgery.

High level atheletes have used visualization to be at the top of there game for a long time now. While you may or may not be a high level athlete, right now you do want (you said so in your question) to be at a high level of healing from your surgery.

Once you’ve healed (weeks or months down the road) you might want to look into receiving some bodywork specific to addressing the scar tissue left from the surgery that could greatly enhance your future health and reduce long-term reprocussions from such a major surgery.
