    The Bible says that when any two Christians gather and have faith the size of a mustard seed, they can move mountains with prayer.

    Funny how they never seemed to have use that power to break out of Roman prisons before being fed to the lions, or never used it when building a canal or something.

    I’m praying that my prayer will be answered…..

  5. TheGreatSeeker on January 29th, 2012 9:26 PM

    none of my prayers have been answered….but I have received wisdom to find the understanding. But the Lord has not shown me how to understand love, and what love is for all things.I try to believe one day he will answer my prayers, but some days it is not that strong of a faith.

    Oh, as per your other question. I can not pray for that as God uses those for punishment of the world going their own way. One day he will put a end to it himself. I can say to you, why are you not as righteous as God and holy? why are you and this world, christians or not, seeking the face of God to know his ways and for God to come to you and show you how to walk??? But the world does not care about God and his holy spirit and wander their own way, falling in sin. God with love, even though you are his enemy sent Jesus for your sins. HE could have just destroyed you for your desire for sin, christians or not.

    This physical world is directly affected by our thoughts. Our thoughts assist in the creation of physical matter. Although somebody may be healed when another person prays upon it, it is not ‘God’ healing them, but is the actual person and their pure thoughts.

    If the thoughts of thousands or preferably millions of people were in tune into ending disease on a large scale, you can be sure it would happen.

    Why would they pray to get healed in the first place? Why would they be afraid to die if death leads to eternal bliss?

    if u helped a blinded man to cross over the street it is a good thing but you just don’t go and tell anybody that u helped some one today so we pray for everything in this world in our mind.

    Proof, actual proof is all that is required. Wouldn’t we all like to live in a world where our problems are erased by simply having faith and praying?. It simply does not happen, ergo does not exist.

    God has actually healed me of an illness that should have been fatal, and the doctors were baffled! God does hear prayers and heals according to His plan, timing and purpose for each person’s life. I encourage you to read Kathryn Kuhlman’s excellent book I Believe in Miracles. It contains medically documented case histories where medicine had reached its limit and God healed.

    I like your question, however if we pray for the healing of all diseases we are also praying for the coming of the Lord to be now. See those who believe in Christ and study His Word know that in order for all diseases to cease, He will have to return. Will there is a lot of lost souls out there that need saving, and will some of us love those sinners, more then the love of Christ return. Seems odd. But we know judgment of God comes with the return of Christ. And with that some will face fiery end. So yeah we pray for Christ to come quickly and all diseases to be healed, but at the same time we are praying the opposite that all souls will be saved before His return.

    At 1 Peter 3:12 we read: “The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication.” Thus, if our prayers are to please God, we must be sincere in trying to live our lives in harmony with the righteous principles of God’s Word. if one rejects God’s Word and his will he should not expect God to answer his prayers for help in time of trouble. (Proverbs 15:29; 28:9) For example, to those who do not respect the sacredness of life, God says: “Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening; with bloodshed your very hands have become filled.” (Isaiah 1:15) In this “time of the end” when violence, immorality, dishonesty, false worship and other wrong conduct are becoming more and more common, we certainly need to consider seriously the way we live our daily lives if we want our prayers to be heard by God.—1 John 3:21, 22.
    What we pray for also has much to do with determining whether God will answer our prayers. Jesus gave his disciples a model prayer to guide them as to the kind of prayer God accepts. (Matthew 6:9-This prayer shows that God’s name and purposes should be our first concern. Next, we may ask for our material needs, for forgiveness and for deliverance from temptation and from the wicked one. Note, too, that Jesus teaches us to pray to “our Father” to “give us today our bread” and to “forgive us.” This shows that, when praying, a person should think not just of himself, or of his own problems and needs. Instead he should unselfishly broaden out his prayers to include others. We should include, not only our own family and relatives, but others who are seeking to please God, and especially those who face trials and difficulties in their service to God.—James 5:16; Ephesians 6:18-20.
    The apostle John writes: “This is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14) Yes, every part of a Christian’s life is a proper matter for prayer. But the important thing is that what he requests be in harmony with God’s will. This is a foremost reason why many prayers go unanswered. The person has not tried first to find out what God’s will is. (Proverbs 3:5-7) So, rather than deciding what we want to do or have, and praying to God about it, is it not proper to find out first what God wants of us, what is his will for us, and then frame our prayers accordingly?—James 4:3, 13-15.
    By our study of God’s Word and by our experience in serving him in association with other true Christians we can come to understand his will. (Romans 12:2) The psalmist prayed: “Make me understand, that I may observe your law and that I may keep it with the whole heart. Cause me to tread in the pathway of your commandments, for in it I have taken delight. Incline my heart to your reminders, and not to profits.” (Psalm 119:34-36 [118:34-36, Dy]) If we pray to God in faith, he will generously give us the wisdom we need to cope with the problems of life. (James 1:5-8) He will help us to know and do what will bring honor to his own great name, and this will result also in our own happiness.—Psalm 84:11, 12 [83:12, 13, Dy].

    If we want answered prayer, we have to pray according to His will and in cooperation with one another…

    Because such a thing is not Scriptural. The Bible is clear about why curses come, why people get sick, how to be healed.

    If a prayer were prayed “end all diseases and natural disasters” and God were to say “Okay” then it would mean that all people everywhere were suddenly walking in complete obedience to Him.

  18. raxin1 on January 30th, 2012 3:57 AM

    I do. i pray for Gods’ kingdom to come(quickly i hope!) in the book of isaiah 33 and 35 it tells of a time when death and sickness will no longer exist. we don’t need to pray for that specifically because God already promised and end to those things. We can pray for individual or groups to be healed but because of the terrible inherited sin existing in this world and the influence of satan however temporary, we are going to experience many unfortunate things until the end of this system of things. a lot of my prayers however random have been answered and a few have not but i still have an unshakable faith in and belief in God.

    Only during the Reign of Christ will this be true. All so-called healing and miracles performed today are not of Him. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Only Christ did these things and His Apostles to establish their credentials as Ambassodors for the Kingdom. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! The Reign of Christ is what will establish the end of all woes. 1A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;

    from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

    2The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—

    the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,

    the Spirit of counsel and of power,

    the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord—

    3and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

    He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,

    or decide by what he hears with his ears;

    4but with righteousness he will judge the needy,

    with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.

    He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;

    with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

    5Righteousness will be his belt

    and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

    6The wolf will live with the lamb,

    the leopard will lie down with the goat,

    the calf and the lion and the yearlinga together;

    and a little child will lead them.

    7The cow will feed with the bear,

    their young will lie down together,

    and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

    8The infant will play near the hole of the cobra,

    and the young child put his hand into the viper’s nest.

    9They will neither harm nor destroy

    on all my holy mountain,

    for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord

    as the waters cover the sea
